Five French unions criticize Solidarnosc for its complacency towards Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour

The rag is burning between five French employee organizations and Solidarnosc. The CFDT, CFTC, CGT, FO and UNSA reproach the leadership of the mythical Polish trade union, which was the main actor in the fall of communism in the country and throughout the Eastern bloc, for its extreme complacency. with regard to Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour. As revealed by the AEF press agency, they have just approached the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) so that it can position itself on the attitude to adopt, one of the possible options being to suspend, or even to ‘exclude, Solidarnosc from the international organization. Solicited by The world, the ETUC declared on Monday 13 December that the protagonists will be auditioned in order to “To clarify the facts” and D’“Identify solutions”.

The storm warning comes after several articles that recently appeared in Polish union media outlets – including the weekly Tygodnik Solidarnosc. In its November 23 edition, this newspaper puts Mme Le Pen, all smiles and presented in its best light. The candidate of the National Rally (RN) in the presidential election denounces, in an interview on the inside pages, “The attack on Poland” from the European institutions, which are suing the conservative PiS (Law and Justice) government, for its repeated attacks on the principles of the rule of law and the separation of powers, since coming to power in 2015.

From the first question, the tone of the interview is set: “The European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union are gradually replacing European values (freedom of expression, nation, family, Christian roots, etc.) by values of the ideology of progress (politically correct, world without boundary, gender theory, etc.). How do you perceive this social engineering? “ The far-right leader responds by lambasting the initiatives of the European institutions against the Polish government, likening them to a “Kind of coup” against the sovereignty of the country, which the weekly highlights.

Joint letter

Tygodnik Solidarnosc (also called Tysol) has a circulation of just 5,000 copies. It is almost inaccessible to newsstand sales and its impact on the Polish public debate is nil. On the other hand, its activity on the Internet is far from being negligible, with the opening, a few months ago, of a portal in French. Its purpose is to oppose “The censorship of political correctness in the West, especially with regard to people with conservative, patriotic and Catholic opinions”. In several articles, the journalists, at the head of the tricolor version of Tysol, expressed their admiration for the ideas defended by Mr.me Le Pen and Mr. Zemmour, largely relaying their campaign themes.
