Stefan Kraft is only a spectator at the New Year’s competition in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The 28-year-old from Salzburg only finished 59th in the qualification on Friday and is therefore not part of the second stop of the Four Hills Tournament on Saturday (2 p.m., live on ORF1).
The remaining ÖSV eagles Jan Hörl (4th), Daniel Tschofenig (7th), Manuel Fettner (8th), Daniel Huber (18th), Philipp Aschenwald (21st) and Ulrich Wohlgenannt (31st) managed to qualify . The winner of the day was the German Markus Eisenbichler, the top tour rider Ryoyu Kobayashi from Japan relegated to second place.
